Neckbreakin’ NYFW - Look 2 | Mary Lai & Reverie

September 12, 2014

"We would have a “It’s complicated” relationship status if NYFW was a tall young fellow. "

Top - Victoria Secret // Skirt - Reverie NY // Shows - Call It Spring // Bag - Mary Lai NY

Steve Jobs said it best - “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” Before it began, I was eager for it and in full preparation mode and as Fashion Week was moving forward, I became restless and was pulled in different directions, and as it ended, I hated it and loved it. We would have a “It’s complicated” relationship status if NYFW was a tall young fellow. In retrospect, the aching knees and sleepless nights was well worth the amazing season. I got to rekindle with some old friends and play with new ones. I’ve seen some great designs available in Spring/Summer 2015 that makes me crave for a Summer redo. Give me Noon by Noor’s silk jumpsuits, Mara Hoffman’s … everything, and Luis Antonio’s gowns.

I also got the opportunity to work with some familiar faces and a few kindred new ones. For this SS15 Fashion Week, I worked exclusively with New York natives, Reverie and Mary Lai, to bring you some neck breakin’ worthy outfits. Have you ever just wake up and feel like one of the Spice Girls? Well, I woke up feeling Posh Spice. And I hope I did her some justice.
"Have you ever just wake up and feel like one of the Spice Girls?"
