As every hour passes, the chilly draft seems to pick up and consume the city air. And as every day passes, I struggle to retire my entire Summer wardrobe. When you catch a nice day, you just have to take full advantage. To be honest, I can't quite put away my ripped jeans, my whites, my sandals, and my skin. Well, this is why it's Fall and not Winter. And this is one of many reasons why this season is my absolutely favorite. "When in White," right? You just have to vibe with the moment you exist in and completely own it.
To not look like a lunatic this fall (if you want to incorporate your Summer pieces), you really have to perfect a very common sensical art - balance. It is balancing patterns and fall colors, like a bright floral collared shirt underneath a burgundy sweater or a thin pastel dress over some denim. It is balancing the amount of skin exposure, like a long overcoat over a slip dress or fun socks underneath platform sandals. It is balancing textures, like chiffon skirt with an oversized sweater or leather pants and a light cotton t-shirt. And balancing details that give you style like aka personality, like pearl arm cuffs and snake-skin sandals.
