    Lynn Kim Do

Lynn Kim Do may be the first fashionista to define and coin the term Neckbreakin’ Style but she is certainly not the only person that this term encompasses. Lynn takes inspiration from the street, from the mundane and thus her extraordinary everyday experiences, and presents it rawly along with visuals and personal style. This is a platform beyond personal style. It is a space of personal experiences. Lynn Do creates a platform that curates her very honest, sometimes too honest, stories called "Street Talk" with style that is also uniquely raw. Having footprints all over the United States, her view of fashion can not be defined by one location or even one style except one - streetwear. She believes in minimal and clean streetwear without losing all the attitude and sass with it. Her visual and production expertise has accumulated many highly recognized repertoire of projects with clients like Revlon and Urban Outfitters. She has been featured on Nylon.com, The New York Times, and WWD to name a few. If you ask her though, her biggest personal achievement is surviving a year lease in a six floor walk-up NYC apartment.

    Warmth in Colors

"In the bitter chills, I am starting to get very innovative with how I keep warm. Some days it feels like a daily fight between practicality and style. I like to think that it doesn't have to be such a battle. Just because the day seems to get darker much too soon doesn't mean your wardrobe should be just as dark. Put on some color in your life! Fight off the cold!"

    Scarf - Zara (sale) // Top - Vintage // Skirt - AL DUCA D'AOSTA // Booties - BCBG // Chelsea Clutch - RumbaTime

The temperature is tip toeing to the bottom of the thermometer. The last thing you want to do is get out of bed, let alone get dressed up. You play with the idea of walking into work in your pajamas. Hey, at least they're black pants right? As you convince yourself otherwise, you look at the twenty black pieces in your closet. Perfect! Except you wore black every single day last week and you fear that people will start to catch on or think that you've spiraling towards seasonal depression. Sanity sets in as you stand in front of the mirror pushing the toothbrush in your mouth with more and more vigor. That's me almost every morning, lately. This is my attempt of color during this polar vortex. My legs are being shielded by this thick patent leather skirt while the colorful scarf keeps the top of my body cozy. I can probably wear this scarf every single day. I've also noticed how popular this scarf is in New York City because I've seen 5 people draped with the same thing. We always give each other a glance. It never fails. I like to think that we're giving each other a high five with our eye balls and not a "Bitch, I rock this better than you" stare down. A girl can only hope, right?

I like to think that it doesn't have to be such a battle. Just because the day seems to get darker much sooner than you would like doesn't mean your wardrobe should be just as dark. Put on some color in your life! Fight off the cold!
