    Lynn Kim Do

Lynn Kim Do may be the first fashionista to define and coin the term Neckbreakin’ Style but she is certainly not the only person that this term encompasses. Lynn takes inspiration from the street, from the mundane and thus her extraordinary everyday experiences, and presents it rawly along with visuals and personal style. This is a platform beyond personal style. It is a space of personal experiences. Lynn Do creates a platform that curates her very honest, sometimes too honest, stories called "Street Talk" with style that is also uniquely raw. Having footprints all over the United States, her view of fashion can not be defined by one location or even one style except one - streetwear. She believes in minimal and clean streetwear without losing all the attitude and sass with it. Her visual and production expertise has accumulated many highly recognized repertoire of projects with clients like Revlon and Urban Outfitters. She has been featured on Nylon.com, The New York Times, and WWD to name a few. If you ask her though, her biggest personal achievement is surviving a year lease in a six floor walk-up NYC apartment.

I have a wonderful surprise for you, neckbrkrs! Billie Carroll, a fellow fashion blogger, and I have combined forces to put our little two cents in styling watches two different ways - Color and Neutral! I think everyone should own two types of watches or jewelry pieces - a neutral watch that goes with everything (black, cognac, or nude), and a statement colorful piece (any color or print). This two part series highlight the lifestyle focused Breda Watches. Besides their chic and simple designs, they are incredibly affordable. And when I say "affordable," I mean they range from $40-$70. (what!?)

So I know how many people usually react to green watches or colored watches in general. "How often can I really wear this?" And this is totally understandable because we all want to invest in our clothes and accessories. Well, let me turn that common notion around and suggest that you can wear it many ways! Billie and I took it upon ourselves to dress up two of Breda's green watches. I picked up the mint green watch, while Billie had her eyes on a forest green. As you can see, we even wore it differently. I decided to make the green pop more by wearing all blue. You can certainly say that I used the mint green as a color block. Billie found chic pieces to compliment the forest green from her watch with the complimentary leather jacket. These are only two ways that to wear a colored watch. Besides matching your watch or wearing a completely different color, you can think about wearing along just a neutral outfit, like all black, all white, or all nude.

As for the pieces around the watch, I've been quite obsessed with blue lately. I couldn't help myself. This is definitely a transitional outfit that takes inspiration from my desperate desire for Springtime. But, it's currently 10 degrees and I don't want to go outside.

Be sure to check out Billie's Instagram for her outfit details. The next blog highlights how we wore Breda's more neutral toned watches. Stay tune!
