NOT So Fast

"Or perhaps, not fast enough. A play on words couldn't more accurately describe this season's NYFW for me."

Or perhaps, not fast enough. A play on words couldn't more accurately describe this season's NYFW for me. My trip to Vietnam had cut this occasion quite short but it didn't stop me from taking the first couple days to still enjoy it. It's a New York fashion holiday. And it is always bittersweet. Bitter because I barely keep my sanity. My diet strictly consists of Prosecco and espresso. And days start much earlier and end much later.  So a part of me felt relieved at missing this NYFW and the single digit weather. But now that I'm here, I can't help but think about how green it must be on the other side. NYFW is sweet because the collections are gorgeous, shows exhilarating, parties inebriating, and the people you meet or rekindle with are always memorable.

One of my favorite things about NYFW is that I get to work closely with some of my favorite designers to strut in. This season was no exception as I was draped in NOT's pieces. NOT speaks in clever cuts and lines to accentuate movement and the negative space - between body and fabric. The designer taps into her dance background and her constant creative calling to bring to you an art in dressing. Each piece brings a million different ways to think about wearing it. For this particular outfit, I wore a dress as a tunic and paired it with pants. Whoever said you couldn't wear a dress with pants, totally lied.

Hope you enjoyed NYFW or at least kept warm! Will report back in a much warmer place soon.
