Babes of 6B | ft. Joanna Maxham

"I can't tell if we're unlikely roommates or too likely. We definitely have our own unique sense of style even if we like the same pieces, like the super functional yet edgy Joanna Maxham bag. Styled with no pants but by different means. I personally love ground turkey. She absolutely hates it. I'm always on some strange clean eating craze, she makes it her mission to break me. She's very logistical. I'm guided by emotions. We do have one very critical thing in common, we're driven by our dreams. I am glad that we are where we are and doing what we're doing at this very moment, paralleling often intercepting each other's life."

Stella Shirt Dress in Feline - Motel Rocks // Anklet Socks - Hue // Boots - Zara // Necklace - CONCT'D // Flapper Fringe Bowler Bag - Joanna Maxham

It's been three months since I've had a New York City address at Apartment 6B and it's only beginning to feel real in the past week. This feeling becomes even more solidified as I finally start to think about a housewarming party. What's the etiquette? Is three months too long? This entire journey is far from being glamorous, pretty, or even comfortable. I've spent numerous nights decorating, redecorating, and pinching numbers. I've dealt with pest. I've dealt with common New Yorker noob problems,  like the weekend subway schedule. I've dealt with semi-drunken nights home. And finally, the feeling of being absolutely alone in a city with millions of sleepless inhabitants. To aid all of that and share countless stories is my fellow 6B babe - Tina Maria of JeanRex.com. I can't tell if we're unlikely roommates or too likely. We definitely have our own unique sense of style even if we like the same pieces, like the super functional yet edgy Joanna Maxham bag. Styled with no pants but by different means. Visit her blog to get her outfit deets. I personally love ground turkey. She absolutely hates it. I'm always on some strange clean eating craze, she makes it her mission to break me. She's very logistical. I'm guided by passions. We do have one very critical thing in common, we're driven by our dreams. I am glad that we are where we are and doing what we're doing at this very moment, paralleling often intercepting each other's life.

I've read somewhere that we all need someone who can walk the streets with, someone to fret to, to dream with, and to hustle with. And that's what we're doing at one of the most pivotal moments of our lives. Although the Babes of 6B are doing this journey together, we want to share it. To those who are going through the trivial nuances of moving to NYC. To those who are just seeking for that extra push to make that jump. To those who just wants to be entertained by two clueless girls. To those who are clueless. To those who made it here (and if you've made it here, you've made it everywhere). To those who didn't. We have something special for you.

I can not wait to share this because this is way beyond our ice cream binging and late night cobblestone wobbles back home. We want to inspire and relate with every woman and man who has a heart as big as their dreams. After all, we're all just walking each other home.
