Rooftop Chillin'

"You can't call yourself a New Yorker without spending some time on at least several rooftops either voluntarily or stumbling upon one. You can't call yourself a New Yorker without spending some time on at least several rooftops either voluntarily or stumbling upon one. It's one of the best way to see New York City in its entirety or at least a bigger portion of it that would normally be harder to see at ground level. The magic of the city sweeps you at this superior height. The air feels thinner, too. But that's okay because it actually feels much thinner when you're sharing it with millions of people on the sidewalk.

I was graciously invited to a friend's family rooftop. Quite an intimate invite, I would say, since it is very similar to inviting someone to your backyard but without the grass. What's more fitting for a summer evening on a rooftop (or backyard) than some comfy overalls. I think one of the most difficult thing about overalls (is really nothing but if I had to come up with something) is still making it feminine. Adding boy elements like this great unisex Timex watch, too, without losing your femininity. Yes, you can still feel sexy in overalls while chillin' on a rooftop. My favorite piece in this outfit is hands down these Ferragamo Open Toe Platform Mule  They are different from Ferragamo's usual classic designs. These mules are unique and edgy without crossing over the line of unwearability. Of course, shoes are always wearable but these sandals can easily be worn everyday and with many outfits. I actually loved them more when I had put them on. So on this one particular evening, when your outfit is on point and you're in a stranger's "backyard," all I'm missing is a frozen drink. Feels good to know that summer is just a few winds away.
