Clueless

"Mai and I have came together to release a two part series with plenty of back to school satire based on our favorite movies and the nostalgic school years we miss so much. If you're still in school, we say, "lucky, son of a bishes!" And to those who graduated just like us, "yes to plenty of happy hours, we sure need it to survive!" *clink*. "

As I am fighting the idea of Fall, tooth and nail, and holding onto Summer by tiny threads, there's one thing I no longer have to think about - the beginning of school. I graduated Rutgers University last year. It's been one whole year since I've been institutionalized under mountains of textbooks and essays. Similarly, Mai of Little Mai Sunshine, a Rutgers alumni and a dear friend of mine, will not have to look forward to midterms, late night Redbull binging nights, and auditorium sized classrooms. It's bittersweet actually.

We're adults now. With adult jobs, big girl apartments, and big girl problems. I don't think I would ever say this but - I do miss those college days. I was always in a rush to grow up. To be ten steps ahead. To get to my career already. I never appreciated the carelessness and laid back vibes college permitted. It felt so simple back then. Running late was just running late to a lecture. Being busy meant being busy drinking beer from kegs in red solo cups on a Thursday night. And then cutting the night short at 1am to go home and write a four page paper due at 8am the next morning. How about those study guides you hustled answers for? I'm sure those were the best. But nothing really beats the feeling of walking away from a final exam knowing that it's over and you killed it. And school wouldn't have been as exciting without some of the most awesome school movies to keep our anticipations high and laughter rolling. So Mai and I have came together to release a two part series with plenty of back to school satire based on our favorite movies and the nostalgic school years we miss so much.

If you're still in school, we say, "lucky, son of a bishes!" And to those who graduated just like us, "yes to plenty of happy hours, we sure need it to survive!" *clink*.
