    Lynn Kim Do

there's nothing to hide and no one to hide from, especially yourself

This one time when my mother set me up with a Fridays' bartender and he took me on a semi-romantic stroll only to use the "I'm so honest that even though this honest statement is fucked up on so many levels, you are still going to sleep with me tonight" tactic. Give me a sweater instead, give me the whole goddamn store, because this is a true story that is half-funny, half-scary, and all too odd, so cuddle up, drink some hot cocoa, and enjoy this read.

Sweater Over Bae is a three part collaboration with Shae NY that combines styling with my (unfortunately) true accounts of not-so-good, often horrible, dates. Unlike potential baes, a sweater will keep you cozy at night and won't judge you when you're bared face, ice cream gorging, or cyber stalking every single girl that liked your ex's photos. In fact, a sweater will hide all of that and make you feel all warm and cozy on the inside and out. If that's not #relationshipgoals, I don't know what is.

Documenting an all too common encounter that happens too often to all of us--Is s/he checking us out? Secretly hoping they are, envisioning the sound they make as they delicately say your name, the warmth coming from their body as they hold you, down to what your kids will probably look like. The only problem is--you're waiting for this stranger to make a move.

Before I begin to think about the past, often times, I try to picture my future first. At the turn of the new year, I visually imagine where I'd like to be. Then more importantly, I take a good look at where I am now, who I'm surrounded by, and what I am currently doing. I woke up January 1, 2016 feeling like it wasn't just any other day. I woke up in the same bed but my bed was now in a new space. Just like how the same person I've known and explored was the same person but now in a new place. It looks different and feels different. Everything around it is different. So without further fluff (and to stick with my first New Year's Resolution), here are my Three 2016 Resolutions.
